The hotel's name changed into SMARTY instead of MEININGER. I have to be super honest that this hotel has really a lot of problems...The room door key gets reset everyday, I had to go up and down to the office, they ask for my room number (in this situation, anybody could say whatever room number he wants, which makes me worried also of private security). WLAN (WIFI) doesnt work well. It loads the letters but hard to even load one small image. The shower head in the bathroom is broken. The room was so small for the price that we paid. Beds, Bathroom, that's all. The room smelled so bad from the beginning. I've still got so many things to complain about...

The worst of worst in my life. This is the first time that I write a review on the Internet. I travelled a lot. But this hostel was terrible. Internet doesn't work in the room even if they said it works. Toilet was dirty because the pipe of urinal was broken. Even if I told this to information, they just say, ok we will check it but they didn't do anything. I booked the domitory of 4 person but they give me a room for 5. When I asked to change the room they said me there is not a empty room. There was only two sockets in the room for 5 pers. Elevator was not working. I had a baggage. The workers didn't help me. And also local for putting the bagages was terribly dirty. When I was unsatisfied for their service, they just told me write a comment in the site of hostel. What the..... I never recommend here if you want to have a nice memory in your trip.

The rooms are not very big but are clean. You have to walk 15-20 minutes to reach the city centre but you can take the S-bahn if you don't want to walk. The staff is nice but some services like the billiard are a bit expensive. On the other hand you can use a kitchen forma free un the basement of the hostel

As I arrived, and got the Key to my room, i was shocked! The room was a total mess!! But they tried to compensate it by giving me another room, which was in flawless condition. The location is perfect for the low price of the room per night. The view of the room is nice.
