Great place to go for Kolsch beer right beside the cathedral. Very spacious and food is good and a-plenty. While service was speedy, a little friendliness could make it 5 stars.

I saw a mouse roaming around inside the restaurant. He didn't seem bothered by the humans around him. Pretty disgusting I must say, I'll never go back again. Also, Sascha left before everyone else... Last time I go to one of his goodbye parties!

Our waiter, Rama Oetzas, was friendly and playful at first. Playing a game to find out where he is from (Cyprus) and saying that if we'd find out, he'll give one of us an extra beer. We did not answer correctly (which is ok) and he actually gave one of us and extra beer and drank one too BUT he put it down on our tab as if it was the most normal thing to do!!! I said that it was a "neat trick" and he said that there was no trick. And then he started to explain that it is a tradition in Cologne to offer a beer to the waiter in a brewery and that in a 10 hours shift, he usually drinks up to 30 glasses.
If he would have explained that to us BEFOREHAND I would have been happy to offer one, but I didn't appreciate his twisted and deceiving way, so I decided not to tip him. In the end he didn't charge us, surely because he noticed that we were displeased. But I sure wont go back not recommend this place. So he lost clients and a tip.
Should you ever go there, enjoy the decor and the beer, but don't get tricked - you've been forewarned...
