Tuna salad is absolutely fantastic - tuna was pink as babys cheeks and the salad itself had a good combination of olive oil and balsamico. Because I know how it is easy to spoil the dressing and than the whole salad can go to garbage bin. And creme brulee - mmm, to die for...

Wir waren heute mit einem Groupon-Gutschein im Fagiano zu Gast.
Das Lokal ist stimmig und nicht überladen ausgeschmückt. Der Service war sehr freundlich und bemerkenswert aufmerksam, ohne dabei aufdringlich zu wirken. Die Portionen des 4-Gang-Menüs waren eher klein gehalten, dabei jedoch von hoher Qualität und insgesamt durchaus ausreichend.
Insgesamt waren wir wirklich sehr zufrieden und werden durchaus auch ohne Gutschein wieder hierher kommen.

I have lived in Berlin for 5 years now and since then I have mainly been to restaurants in East Berlin (Pan Asia, Borchert, Luther & Wegner, Boca di Baco and the rest). But I eventually wanted to try the west.
So asking around, I heard three times within four days about Fagiano on FasanenPlatz/ Square, West Berlin (not far from the Kurferstendamm (or Ku’damm).
The seafood at Fagiano always looks really fresh, decor is modern and minimalist but still cozy. The waiters (who talk in in an amusing Italian/German accent by the way) are friendly and attentive and allow you to construct any starter you wish.
The clientele are mainly locals (which is reassuring). The menu covers all the bases you would expect from a good Italian, but no pizza. Everything they do serve however, tastes super.
Prices are fair - In my book this means that when the bill comes you don’t feel like you’ve been rear-ended by an elephant. All portions were near on perfect which meant no bloatiness but also no need to stop off at McDonalds to fill in the gap (although I definitely could have had 2 more servings of the amazing tiramisu).
