Let me start by saying I had actually booked a tour of Versailles for the previous week- I was planning a two week trip between London and Paris and became overwhelmed, naturally, a mistake was bound to happen. So when I showed up to the meeting place to take the bus out to Versailles, and they explained I actually selected the Thursday previous, I was mortified and disappointed. I went outside to cry out of frustration and chain smoke on a bench. Then a woman from the company, (Paris Tours 41 rue des bourdonnais )came outside to offer me two of the same tickets for the next afternoon for half price. It really was a generous and kind act on their part, because honestly it was entirely my fault for just being a spaz. She was helpful as was the other woman, Claire, who arranged our replacement tour. The tour itself is simple enough as you have an audio guide and are free to walk around the gardens as you wish, and we had a very nice guide on the bus up there to answer any questions we may have. The company itself truly just went above and beyond to accommodate my mistake and it was incredible of them.
