Great location
The hotel Le Grimaldi is in the middle of city, minutes by foot from almost anywhere. We walked through out the city to the sea front , enjoying the parks and plazas greatly appreciated. Then there was Promenade des Anglaise. Beautifulllllllll.
The hotel is charming, old but kept nice and clean. The staff were helpful, even if you have issue your own the staff member will try to help you professionally.
The hotel I call home because that's how we felt when we come in from outside. They give you greeting and smile . If you don't speak french they will help you get what you want. They are that much, they all speak english well.
The breakfast is good all local food and fresh fruit and juice. There is plenty for for everyone. The aroma of the room when you come in so nice and warm. I had to ask the staff what they are using ,the told me it's jasmine !. no wonder it felt so pure.
I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

Great staff, romantic decor in room and bright bathroom with sizeable tub for relaxing. 24/7 tea and coffee in the lobby is great.
However, I expect a little more from a place that can charge €110/night
Cons - the shower head kept moving and spraying water outside the tub. Broken bin lid in bathroom.
Poor sound isolation from neighbouring rooms

Great location, helpful and lovely staff, clean and tidy room. However the room wasn't soundproof, could hear almost everything from next room. Also the double bed was actually two singles put together (potentially a twin turned double), not comfy at all. Would visit again if the above issues are properly addressed.Poor WiFi network, slower than 3G and connection was spotty by the way.

Pros: cheap. Very central to train, shopping and promenade.
Cons: breakfast is strictly continental (bread with ham&cheese). AC is old and not working. Not recommended if you have small kids like we had with us in the summer. It gets hot.
