Living in Bordeaux I have wanted to visit since a while, but the expensive price made me wait for a price deal. The building itself is beautiful, specially when the sun is reflected in the bronze-coloured bits in the evening; but inside it is quite a feat also!

Our first impressions were not at all that positive as it is a victim of its success and its very busy. Moreover it has the problem that, despite providing the self audio guide with headphones, some screens/displays play audio directly from loudspeakers so it gets pretty confusing!

We particularly enjoyed the history of wine exhibit, and also the history of Bordeaux. And the wine tasting from the belvedere is awesome; be adventurous and try different wines, we tasted a Mexican one that was just incredible!

If you are really into wine, this is the place for you. I enjoyed this museum even more than taking much more expensive wine tours--and I learned more. I especially liked the "smell lab"! I spent all day here. All day. But I was so interested, I read all of the exhibits and watched all of the videos. In fact, I still had to rush through a few. I imagine a typical person would need about 2-3 hours to visit. They have headsets for English speakers. At the end you get treated to a view overlooking the city and a glass of wine of your choice. I recommend this to any wine aficionado.

Amazing place. You should stay full day if poss. There is so much to see which is why the ticket price is worth it. Also you get a free glass of wine on the top level. We're not big on wine but really enjoyed our visit.

It's a beautiful building, but what a wasted education opportunity!

We took the self-guided audio tour. This was a mistake. There were guests were milling around confused throughout the permanent exhibit....and not a staff member in sight to advise or guide.

It appears to be all about the delivery technology for information, rather than the information itself. This results in a supremely frustrating and mediocre learning experience.

I am an educator and I took my family who were looking for a simple explanation of the wine-making process...it was impossible to find a logical sequence to illustrate this, or a person to help us.

And this was a Thursday morning outside the holiday season... I can't imaging the chaos during school holidays.

This place is simply amazing. Really interesting exhibition with a digital assistant that works... Most of the time. The interactive items are so well done and the wine tasting is a nice feature. The food situation is weird. Either high class or burgers. Nothing in between.
