What an amazing place. I went for dinner here with a friend and we both loved every part of it. The restaurant design is fresh and cozy, but the food is something else. We really enjoyed every bit of our meal. The spicy jalapeno poppers with smoked cheese and sour cream was a hot sensation and so refreshingly presented and went perfectly with the wine selected by our waiter.

We both love the ploughman’s board for two – cured meat, cheeses, chicken liver pate, olives, grapes and local jam. The best quality meat was coupled with cheese and jam that complemented it perfectly. For main course, I can’t recommend anything more highly than the roasted duck breast with seasonal vegetables, beets and miso sesame glaze. my freind had the marbled Rib-Eye steak with chimichurri sauce and honey-mustard salad; both were sensational.

Then there were the desserts. These look great and taste even better. We went for lemongrass mousse, exotic fruit salad, and hazelnut crumble and then the chocolate and goats cheese cake, made with cheese from Kalamatsi farm and sea salt. Once again, we just shared and ate some of both. It really is the only way to get around this amazing menu!

Just had coffee and a cheese cake. The coffee has not hot enough and we had to send it back to be reheated. The cake was not good at all.
The service was very good and the place has nice atmosphere. The prices was a bit higher than other places we set in.

Was only mildly hungry so we ordered the jalapeno poppers and sliders for the two of us. The poppers were okay, but the sliders were very nice. Three styles spicy, cheesy and regular. The spicy was actually spicy, and this is coming from a guy who goes to the hot sauce expo each year. Not blow your mind spicy, but very nice unless you can't handle it. The beer options were okay, but not as extensive as other places nearby.

Great outside dining. Waitress was very attentive. Salads and burgers were very good. I would definitely come here again.

Three of us ate at Clayhills and all of us were very happy with our meals. The hamburger was cooked perfectly. It was hot, cooked, and not burnt. I call this out as some of the reviewers seem to have had issues with theirs. The soup of the day was outstanding. The fries were the right combination of somewhat crispy on the outside but soft on the inside. Service was very good. Plenty of seating both indoors and outdoors. Blankets and heaters are available outside to take the chill off. This is a great choice if you are beat the Maritime Museum.
