This hospital is there just to exorbitantly charge and rob you of money, taking advantage of your medical situation. The hospital is so management and administration heavy, my feeling is there are 10 MBAs for one doctor - a clear indication that they are running a business and not a healthcare service. The idea is to overcharge the customer, mostly tourists who don't know much about the medical system in Egypt. My wife had a minor injury when she stepped on a sea urchin and had to get the thorns removed from her feet. She was in a bit of pain - but the moment we stepped in the emergency area, before even a doctor we were approached by 3-4 different administrative staff asking about what insurance do we have? How much cost can it cover? Etc. they started off with asking €400 from us, even though the doctor said it's just a minor regular procedure which won't even take more than 15-20 min. After a rigorous bargaining, calling our insurance which didn't guarantee that it can cover the cost we finally settled for €70 - it was really upsetting. Though I would add here that the doctors and nurses there were very friendly and helpful, and it was only on the request of the doctor that the head of bills/accounting department agreed on the final amount. That is definitely not how a hospital should be run. My suggestion is to avoid going to AMC if possible.

I visit the hospital for an emergency case... they act very fast and efficient, the cost was very reasonable.

one star is too much ..
i visited this hospital not long time ago and i hope i will never ever visit it again .. the charge way too much money and the service they provide is a joke the charged 120 euro for consultation and all what the doctor used was stethoscope and a very old mercurial thermometer they put under the armpit for FIVE minutes !! and they say we use the latest technology in our hospital what kind of technology is this !! they didnt even borther to do other checks on the body.. we waited for about three hours for the report and when we questioned the staff they said there are emergency situation while the hospital was all most empty , then we had to wait for about two hours for the medicine and the fee for it was crazy comparing to the original price .. they charge 60 euros transfer although we shared the transfer with other people , for them is not about helping people but is about making money form people .. the only good thing about it was some staff were a bit friendly other than that nothing , hope not too visit again
