I am currently staying at the Audian Hotel . I was greeted by a very friendly host. I found the room comfortable although a little noisy. However, the room was very clean and comfortable with ensuite, air-con, tv. jug, balcony.
Free breakfast and washing are part of the deal. Owner even found a cheap bike rental. I could have paid nearly as much in a 4 bed dorm at a backpackers. I am very happy to have found this hotel.

I stayed at this hotel after being told that my booked hotel had no rooms.
It was walking distance to HNGV, the reception staff was friendly and there was an attached restaurant, so I booked in.
I had a shared balcony on the first floor and sleep was difficult with the noise from the air-conditioner, but this is to be expected from the location.
Breakfast was included in the tariff, though when no ethnic Chinese people stayed, toast, coffee and tea was all that was available. The staff member in the restaurant was a sour-puss, and when she helped herself to a $US1 tip, I decided to look elsewhere for accommodation.
For the price I didn't expect a great deal, but got less than that.
