My friends and I went to Bohemia Sekt to do a wine tasting and buy some of their wines, as their website said we could/should do. We went in, (nicely dressed) and greeted the woman in Czech, and kindly asked if she spoke English. She said no, but she stated she spoke German, which was fine, so I asked her in German if we could do a wine tasting and that we wanted to buy some wine. She replied that there was no wine tasting available... as I looked around at the multitude of bottles for purchase, the bottles on ice with vacuum tops that were already opened, and the automatic wine dispensing machine with 8 bottles with auto spouts ready for tastings, I was surprised by her response. I asked again politely as I pointed to the dispensing machine and she said there was no tasting... so I got angry, and we walked out. And she missed out on a LOT of business. NOTE: We did not make a reservation to do a tasting prior to arriving during the hours of operation--we just knew they did tastings based on the website and that they were open. I do not recommend you waste your time in going unless you make a reservation, make it clear the language you will need for the tasting and get their confirmation that they will be able to accommodate, and hopefully you will have a better experience.
