My favorite restaurant in Ostrava. Great food, cheap and large portions. Try the chicken schnitzel and the risotto with chicken, vegetables and white wine. You'll love those :)

Service started off a bit dodgy at first but all turned out fine after a few minutes. The food was excellent local fare, garlic soup, goulash and cured pork belly starter recommended...melts in your mouth.

This is a pub that also serves food. The staff members speak English too.
The pork ribs are delicious and cost 160 CZK. It is a big portion!
Vegetarian dishes are available. For example we were served a cheese trio dish, where there were three kinds of fried cheeses.
Generally the staff looks friendly, but I personally did not like the reaction of one waiter: he gave us the bill and left us checking it (this is ok), and, when he came back, I asked if I could pay by card. He grumbled and shaked his head as showing he was pissed off by this, and he went back to take the card reader.
I do not know if this was a form of joke or being funny, but it was not polite.
