Absolutely awful and wouldn't recommend anyone going to this resort! First they didn't tell us that 3/4 of the resort was still closed. So we paid for adults only and upgraded our bracelets for nothing!!!! There was screaming kids all week, no shows or entertainment, no restaurants except one. So everyday you could order off 1 page of the same menu over and over again. But....they had no tomato, no onions, no mushrooms, all the fruit ( only had pineapple/watermelon) was white and not ripe. And ny mid week they were out of bacon and many other things. We all know the food isn't great in Cuba anyways but WOW!!! With the options and price we went with, kind of hoping for a little more. Toilet seats in the washrooms even would of been nice. After days of complaining they were putting seats on put to late it was our last day of 7 thankfully. Had a plane been around to take me home I would of been gone by my 2 day!!!! The topper of the whole trip was that items went missing from my room not once but twice. I spoke with the reception and security, filed a complaint but it was also pointless. They all cover for each other and tried to tell me nothing like this had happened in the 12 yrs they worked there. Yeah OK, if they only had a clue what their workers were up to and the deals they make with the tourists. Im in the hospitality business and there should never be 4-5 maids coming out of 1 room together. One thing for sure I will never step foot in Cuba again. Second time there and both times were awful!!!!!! Stay away from this place!!!!

amazing g adult only resort. we were there in off season. it was quiet. resort really is not that large and you have access to the sister resort

My boyfriend and I stayed a week at the Blau at the beginning of May. It was my first time in Cuba and his second. While perhaps I needed to get my expectations in line, I would not come back to this resort. Nothing was overtly bad, and the staff for the most part tried to accommodate our requests, expedited by monetary compensation.
We had a later flight and arrived at night, and to our dismay, nothing was opened. We were so hungry and opted to go to the "snack bar" for some food. We probably should've just waited until the next morning for breakfast. We asked for hotdogs and sandwiches (one of the only things on the menu) and received cold uncooked hot dogs in crusty bread and one small slice of ham and lots of butter-looking cheese sandwiches. Not a great first impression, but it was our first night so we had hope.
I won't go into great detail about everything that was less than formidable, but the food was barely edible, the maid service for some reason never brought us waters even though we tipped her every day and would get snarky when we would ask for water, and there was definitely a delay in room service and calling a golf cart for a ride. We did get numerous inquiries to exchange their CAD$ they received from guests for Pesos, which was annoying because do I look like an FX kiosk or a human?
Some good things about the resort were that we got a room on a higher floor, which was nice. The beaches were beautiful, and there was a nice cappucino cafe across the road. There was never a shortage of alcohol, and most of the staff did try to deliver a satisfactory experience.
Overall, my 3 star rating is not to detract from the facilitiy, I just wasn't a big fan. I don't think they deserve a 2 star, but definitely not a vacation that I would want to embark on again.

Stayed for one night and the room was spacious but the air-con and minibar very loud. The room and bathroom are huge, the balcony didn't have a view. Room service, had only hotdogs and burguers(the list had other things, but unavailable). Pool is great, beaches are ugly but private.

Excellent hotel of a relaxing holiday. The rooms are large and have balconies from where to enjoy the sunset. Bathrooms are clean. Pools are clean and have plenty of hammocks. There is a wide selection of food options, including many salads, fruit, meat, rice and potatoes. The beach is excellent. We were there during the low season and the start of the high season, and service was very attentive.
