Very large rooms. Clean, but as almost usual, a lingering of cigarette smell in the room. Only some staff spoke English, and so-so. On one stay their card machine was broken which almost resulted in a problem as I needed 800 RMB for the room deposit and they wouldn't budge. The street noise does carry up quite a bit - one time there were road works throughout the night (!) and I hardly slept. WiFi in the room was weak until I mentioned it and they did something to boost the signal (but in the lobby it's always strong). Breakfast is good, in the adjacent restaurant - plenty of variety in the buffet - and ask the chef to fry you up a dumpling with pork and chives. There are good restaurants across the road for dinner, e.g. the grill place with live music. And check out the nearby bridge which is prettily lit up (until midnight). It's a nice and relaxing evening stroll along the river there, watching people jogging and dancing salsa... Despite any grumbles above, I'd stay here again - on business - but would look for something cheaper privately.
