We stayed here while taking a tour from China Highlights, and it was a wonderful hotel! The front desk staff was super friendly and helpful, the common areas were spacious and well-appointed, and the atmosphere was great.
Our rooms were lovely. The beds were comfortable, there were numerous outlets (the usual Chinese hotel style that take American, British, and Chinese plugs), the bathrooms were clean, and the water bottles were replenished daily. The wifi was pretty reliable too, but no vpn here.
The location was fantastic too. It’s about one or two blocks from the Metro line that takes you to Tiananmen Square, about one block from a Ming Dynasty observatory that’s open to tours, and, best of all, it’s part of the old City Wall, and forms the northern boundary for the City Wall park, which is this great walking space and green area. We ran into dozens of families, old folk exercise groups, ballroom dance classes, etc. It was a great way to enjoy a nice evening.
The breakfasts were amazing-huge buffets with excellent food. Western and Chinese offerings, lots of fresh fruit, and prepared and made-to-order options as well. We also had evening drinks in the bar, and their selection was pretty good. If you’re getting cocktails, stick to the gin ones-gin and tonic, martinis, etc. All in all a great introduction to China!

Comfort accommodation , huge room with all services you need , WiFi , boiler , LCD bit it's a non smoking hotel at all the hotel , toilet also huge with every thing you will need , hotel location is perfect 10 min. Walking To the sky train and also 15 min. Walking to the Beijing rail way , a lot of super markets near including the 24 hours market inside the hotel , many restaurants beside the hotel Chinese food for sure and 2 coffee shops , 15 min. Walking left side the hotel , in front of Beijing rail way you will find the nearest shopping center , star bucks , MacDonald , pizza hut and KFC .

Stayed there a few weeks back. Hotel is generally pleasant with most staff helpful. The hotel has a strange odor which is constant and strong. A significant portion of the staff speak very poor or no English at all. Most of all the hotel is only air conditioned during the day (at this time in the year). This was not made clear (language barrier?) at the property. I don't see it on the website either. During the day we were out touring, returning at night the room was very hot and no A/C. The weather was ~80F/~25C every day and Beijing smog is terrible. Did not make for good restful nights. When I called Marriott about this rather significant misinformation about the property they said they would call me back but never did. I don't see anything changed on the website either. Not what I expected from a hotel of this caliber or at this price point.

The location is quite good.. not too far from tourist destinations and city centers.. the food is excellent and the room is comfortable
