Food was delicious, as was the IPA. The atmosphere was very relaxed for a Friday night which was great. Service was fast and efficient. I would suggest the skirt steak, mac and cheese, and the brussel sprouts. Only reason I gave this a 4 was that the prices seemed bizarre for some of the dishes. For example the potatoes were great but they are basically fries with some sauce on them, and it cost $12...other dishes were priced equivalently to other restaurants in the same niche.

Deseo is undoubtedly one of the best restaurants in Winnipeg. Its combination of whimsical flavours with fresh and extremely high quality ingredients make it a premier dining experience in town. There should be no reason to skip Deseo, just make sure to bring a friend so you can try more!

Did the crunchy chickpea Friday special, the pork belly, the short rib, and the crunchy potatoes. Spectacular from beginning to end. Finished it off with the creme-brulee-type dessert and it almost blew my mind. Sorry to have hashed the menu names like that. I honestly cannot remember the last time, if ever, that I was so impressed with the flavors of a meal from beginning to end. Enragingly delightful.

I have visited Deseo twice in one week, once for dinner with 4 others and the second was for a wedding. I have to say both visits were beyond enjoyable. Cory our server for the first visit was very attentive and made us feel very welcome. He took the time to explain the menu and helped us make informed and delicious choices. The servers at the wedding I attended were extremely attentive to all of us at once, no-ones drinks were ever empty and finished plates and cutlery were cleared off tables as soon as we were done. I have dietary restrictions too which Deseo was more than happy to create (very delicious) meals around. All in all two wonderful experiences and I will definitely return.

This is my absolute favourite restaurant in Winnipeg. Every dish is amazing, and there is no chance I could replicate them at home!! I also inquired about a dish that was no longer on the menu, and they told me to call ahead and they'd be more than happy to make it for me next time! Great customer service, superb food, fantastic atmosphere. It's pricey, but seriously GO HERE. IT'S SO WORTH IT!!
