Food was delicious once it arrived. Took over 3/4 of an hour for food to arrive. It was not that busy. I used to really like this hidden gem but likely will not return. There are better restaurants with better service.

The ambiance is very warm and cozy. This restaurant always smells good and is clean. Rebar has an incredible juice and smoothie bar, as well as a nice simple selection of wines. However I don’t think I will continue to go to this place as often as I have been.
I’m relatively new to Victoria and frequent this place for both lunches and dinners. But I have found that, especially during dinnertime, the service didn’t match the friendly atmosphere of this restaurant. During our last visit, we found the hostess to be rather stiff and unwelcoming. And while the staffs were professional, we honestly didn’t feel that welcomed there.

I'm a vegetarian visiting Victoria from Calgary and we stopped here for lunch. I was happy to see a lot of healthy vegetarian/vegan options. They also had salmon for my fiance. The food was amazing, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was very Welcoming. It was mid range prices at about 20$/person, but the ingredients are fresh and portions are perfect.
If you're in downtown Victoria you need to check this place out.

Had a great meal there. Wish I would have known about the juice bar drinks - looked so inventive. The girl working the bar is one of hardest working people I have seen. And she was still super nice and took time with us. Also took home a great dessert from them the next night.

We came in on Sunday night for monks curry and your burger. We have been Rebar regulars for many years where we have had several birthdays and celebrations.
It was pretty slow when we arrived, but our food took a while to come. When we asked how long we would have to wait for our food he left and did not come back until he had our food, leaving us to wait another 10 minutes. I received my cold almond burger and potatoes without an apology or explanation. Not only were we unsatisfied with our food, but our server seemed to be more interested in socializing with his colleagues then doing his job. The food was dropped off and our server went back to talking with his coworkers. I will be back because Rebar has been great for so long and we have many fond memories there.
Although the restaurant was not busy, the service was so slow and unfriendly. I suggest more training for you staff as the quality of your service had declined.
