First time visit for my wife and me, on a Tues evening. Had a Tue SM pizza & George‘s special spaghetti with 1/2L of Farnese, fantastic value for the money. We always prefer on-site sampling to take-out, but therein lies the problem. It's a quiet day and we're the only table, but the sole waiter was actually on the phone chatting away the whole time, even while serving. We felt neglected, though not offended. I wish the owner would pay a little more attention to service provider etiquette. Will find out when I go back, there're still lots on the menu that I'd want to try. I hope to write a 5-star review next time.

I went here with my husband and 4 kids. It was the WORST survive I have ever received. When we walked in the restraint was half empty. I asked if we could pull two tables together and the server asked if we had a reservation. I told him no did we need one, he said well yes if you all want to eat here. I said excuse me, all eat here, we are a family with kids aged 2, 4, 13, and 15. They then went on to say well there is more then 4 of you. I asked to speak to the manager as the man speaking was very rude and agressive. He then told me he was the owner and he did not
Need our business. SO we left
I agree the food is good I have eaten there before. However I will NEVER EAT THERE AGAIN as service means more to me then good food as there are many places to spend my hard earned money that has good food I suggest people think twice before going to a restraint that has an owner that cares less about good service toward the public

George's has been a Kerrisdale tradition since the early 1970's. They have some of the best pizza in town and great vegetarian options. Their baked pastas are genuine comfort food and the portions are large. For dining in they have good specials mid-week. The owner and staff are very friendly.

Been here a few times - great food! The service needs a tune-up though. Very slow and inattentive. For example, after the waitress walking by many times, I finally asked for more water and am met with indifference. After we asked for the rest of the (delicious) lasagna packed up, we asked for the cheque. After 10 minutes it still didn't arrive, and we went to that desk and the girl seemed to have forgotten...
Maybe takeaway is that way to go..?
