Best place for Japanese/suhsi in Bloor West, and probably the most pleasant dining experience overall. Excellent service, ambiance, and quality, but not fussy or pretentious. Their dinner meals for two are perfect for a date or two friends to share.

Would not recommend. Food and service was decent but a couple hours later, I had an intense stomach ache and based on the reviews, other people have experienced this as well.

Disappointed. Ordered dynamite roll like usual, but this time it tasted horrible and made my stomach hurt. Did not even eat half of this roll. The manager would not give a refund and will call the police if we don't pay for it. (Mind you that we ordered a lot of stuff and paid for EVERYTHING we ate). The manager proceeded to yell at us and told us to never come back. But after all that why would I even want to come here. I have NEVER been treated this way at any restaurant before and recommend eating somewhere else.

Cozy and unpretentious, the service at Yumi is consistently excellent. The sushi is fresh and meticulously presented. We are always greeted warmly: it's a pleasure to eat here. Amazing Black Dragon roll...a definite must-try.

We've been coming here for several years and we have yet to be disappointed. We've tried other places in the area and keep coming back here. The service is always pleasant and prompt. The setting is peaceful. The food is great!
