A groups of 12 of us headed to cheers in a Friday night for some birthday celebration food and drinks.
Cheers was chosen as there are relatively few west Fort eateries to attend and so cheers was up. The menu is small with most of the selection being burgers of various sorts. These are accompanied by 2 sides, and could feed a small family. 2 sides? 2 much. The prices and portions are both high. If you're out for a Friday night dinner, I doubt you'll want a burger... regardless of how fancy it is and what sides are offered. And if you're out in a Friday night for other reasona(birthday, pre-party drinks, social gathering, etc). The 20$ burgers with two sides are out and your looking at appies.
Cheers does have some nice appies and deep fried pickles were popular at our table. I heard stories of people driving from current river (egad!) just to eat this plate of salty dillness. I tried a friends... they were good. I ordered nachos and onion rings and split with my mom. It could have also fed my mother in law and also sister. The portions at cheers are HuGE. The half plate of nachos could have fed 3-4 women. Our table had so much food left on it when we got up to play pool, we looked like we hadn't even started.
There was a band that started at 9:00pm. It was my favourite part of the night. They were good. We got up to play pool so we could be more free to move around to the music (we all suck at pool). Even with the decent tasting food and the great music, the table count was low... why cheers? It's your prices and portions... bring them both down... it's west Fort.

Good food and service, I'm only withholding a star because the management had too few people on staff and the poor girl was run ragged. She did excellent considering but it does affect speed of service.

The food is good. Excellent apps. Pretty average overall menu. Great place for just apps.
