I was trying to play basketball in the gym when I was swarmed by black guys. They told the gym that I started a fight which wasn't true at all. The gym revoked my membership. AS a white person, I do not feel safe going to this gym.

This is my gym. The pool is great and the staff are helpful. Never had any problems with the machines. The instructors are very nice, but some are more intense than others. Find one that best suits your workout pace and style.

Great staff, very friendly! Nice new machines! Lots of options. Usually quite busy, which is the only downside.

If you are thinking of signing up, definitely don't do LA or at least not this branch.
I travel a lot across GTA. This is by far has been the worst LA I've been. I love LA Fitness but every time I come to this branch somehow I get very disappointed. Although the branch is not that old the facility is already having problems. AC does not work properly and inside gets very moist and hot. Most of the shower knobs are broken and don't work properly.
Unlike other branches, staff here are very rude. Whenever is about closing time they would absolutely rush you and make you feel very uncomfortable till you leave.
Once again If you are thinking of signing up, definitely reconsider. They would do anything to get you signed up. As soon as you signed up you really don't matter much anymore. During my sign up time I felt highly pushed. I said that I want to take my time and shop around to find the best club for my self. I got multiple calls after that saying that I need to decide now or Im going to lose the deal that I have been given from this club. During my singed up which was done by Chris the general manager I was very happy and told that I got the best deal because I can access all North America branches for a reasonable price. All was well till once I got stopped at the Don Mills branch which is the most convenient branch for me to go when I'm in Toronto. I was told I'm not supposed be at this branch because it is called the signature branch and there is a extra $5 fee I need to pay every time I'm using this branch. Coming back to Oshawa to talk to the general manager again why wasn't I informed that I have ristricted access to some clubs. The accountant manager who was there as well, very rudly and aggressively told me that it was my own fault and I have not listened correctly. I was indirectly called a liar by both the general manager and accountant manager. I was deeply insulted. In conclusion I was pretty much that told there is nothing that can done about it.
I will cancel my membership with LA Fitness, and I will never go back there nor recommend to anyone anymore.

I worked out here for a few years and then life just got busy and I recently cancelled my membership. Had the most pleasant experience in doing so. Dealt w Lasha ( spelling?) and there was no drama in cancelling. Literally took 4 minutes, she gave me a small but appreciated lecture about making time for myself and she hoped I would be back and that was that. Super impressed with the experience
