Do NOT go to this tanning salon by ANY means necessary. I have been going to Spanish Sol for about 6 years now, and I have never seen it in such poor condition. I used to really enjoy going to this tanning salon for many years as I found it to always be clean, well maintained, safe, and well-staffed. The people that have recently taken ownership of Spanish Sol know nothing about the tanning salon business. At all.
Almost every time I go into Spanish Sol there are two Asian woman standing and talking behind the front counter, doing and saying absolutely nothing while they let a few of their kids run around the salon, screaming, jumping on furniture, rolling around on the floor, and disturbing the customers. I have gone into this salon a number of times recently and experienced the staff blatantly ignoring me while I patiently and quietly stood at the front counter waiting to go for a tan. Not only that, but the women I have seen in the salon lately usually ignore me while also speaking in another language right in front of my face. I hardly ever get greeted, and these women always take their time talking or playing on their phone rather than acknowledging and assisting me right away. I have no idea what has happened to the old staff that I used to see working there, but I desperately miss the old staff. The old staff members were extremely friendly and polite, as well as very knowledgeable about tanning, all of the supplies, and equipment. The old staff members used to always help me in a timely manner, and actually knew how customers should be treated.
These new women have never once done the same. They know nothing about tanning, the lotions, or the equipment. These women also do not clean their beds and equipment properly, as I have personally experienced numerous times. I have even gone into a bed that had burnt out bulbs, and when I brought it to their attention after the tan the woman said “Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that to you. Do you want to go for another tan right now free of charge?” There are a few things wrong with that statement. First, the fact that she already knew about the burnt out bulbs and did not replace them right away shows how little she cares about maintaining this salon. Second, she allowed customers to still use the bed without warning any of them about the burnt out bulbs. Third, she offered me a tan immediately after I had just had an 8 minute tan, which anyone with a small amount of knowledge about tanning would know is extremely dangerous to the customer. I know from the staff of the previous owners that customers have to wait about 24 hours between tans. I have gone for a tan one evening, and then without thinking about it the next day I tried to go for a tan in the late morning. Luckily the ladies at the time would not allow me to tan so soon after the tan I had the previous evening. I was grateful that the staff members were looking out for me and would not allow me to jeopardize my health. However, this “new owner” apparently thinks it is satisfactory to allow customers to go for multiple tans back to back.
The final complaint I have with this now disgrace of a tanning salon is that the hours have now been cut by 2 hours. I remember when Spanish Sol was open until about 8:30pm/9:00pm during weekdays. Then the hours were changed to 8:00pm (with the last tan at 7:30pm). Spanish Sol never informed customers about significantly cutting hours every evening, with the last tan being at 5:30pm. A lot of people do not even get off work until 6:00pm, and most people are at work during the day and do not have time to go for tans midday. The new owners have clearly shown countless times how little they care about their customers as well as how little they know about the tanning salon business. I would strongly recommend staying as far away from such a scam of an establishment as possible, as the new ownership of Spanish Sol has shown nothing but neglect to cleanliness and maintenance along with a complete disregard for the customer and the customer’s health and safety.

Service has gone downhill. It used to be the best place in town for years. New ownership, Price increases, terrible customer service. It is like they are cutting corners for profit. Very disappointing.

Worse pedicure I have ever had, she basically soaked my feet for a couple of minutes, then painted my toes , even had to re-do my one toe 3 times and didn't bother to put the top coat back on. It all took about 25 min and they look awful, could have done a much better job myself!!!
