Great location! We visited in 2010 We were helped with reservations at a guest information stop along the highway. BUT when we arrived, the front desk personnel lacked personality and the rooms were small, aged, and dingy. I was 8 months pregnant and couldn't turn around in the bathroom it was so small! There were some long red hairs on my pillow case...yuck! There were very audible screams coming from down the hall at night...creepy or gross, you decide. Kind of felt like a brothel, do not so surprised lol...When we first arrived, we got a room that was so crooked our bed tilted back and you felt like your head was lower than your feet while lying in bed...we were able to have our room switched. The woman at breakfast was friendly, but not the best food. It would not be a first choice.

It's an old building, no elevator, the room has only two outlets, they announced freebreakfast, but there's a catch, the gratuity isn't included, is an extra charge. The who did my check in, wasn't friendly at all, but the night staff eas really nice and helpful. The location is great, close of a lot of points of interest. There's a restaurant inside the hotel.

The WORST HOTEL I've ever stayed in. Rubbish rooms and staff are worse. You can't even use the bath ... Quote "its not safe to use the bath!" This is what the manager told us, so they don't supply bath plugs. We spoke to the owner and they said they don't care we are always full. ! This is the attitude you get as there are people using this hotel because they are a little cheaper than the others BUT I can tell you now its not worth the money it will make your holiday a living nightmare.
Seriously if you want the worst time of your life in Canada this is the place to stay !

The rooms where small. Internet was not great. The whole building is slanted on a heavy grade. You can't control the a.c. in the room. The staff are great. And the pub is great but a little over priced. 3 stories without an elevator

Good location, relatively quiet, helpful staff. The lack of elevator was hellish. If you have anything heavy, don't book on the third floor, the drag will drain your energy before you can even step into the city. No room for your bags in the room, either. The shower head was pretty low, and I'm average height. On the third floor, on the back side of the hotel, to the right of the stairs, was my room. Two Little beds, a window in the room and in the bathroom. The window in the room faced a brick wall, but the bathroom faced someone's backyard or something. If only it were the other way around! Someone else mentioned wifi, but I didn't see a wave of it!
