Love the ambience and drink selection. I love that the staff listens to my requests and effectively answers my questions, since I have a lot of allergies.

We have been going to Symposium since it opened years ago. We were there in August 2017, party of 10. The restaurant was packed. We had made a reservation so we had a table. The service was the slowest ever. It took over an hour after we placed our food order to get our meals. The drinks and food were great. I'm not sure what has happened to the quality of service there, but it has gone down hill. Our server never came back to ask how our meals were. And an offer of refills on beverages happened well after our glasses were empty. We were also there last night, and pretty much the same service. This time we wete unable to make a reservation, as they don't take reservations psst 630pm. We were a group of 7. We were told it would be half hr for a table, no problem. It was over an hr later, when we spoke to the hostess and agreed to take an outside table just so we could get started with drinks, appetizers and our meal. We sat for almost another hr before our meal order was placed. We were told the kitchen was an hr behind. Again, we have been here many times and never had this issue before. Is it the kitchen staff? Is it the wait staff? I'm not sure. But something has to change!

Not sure what has changed, but I give this a 0 to 1 star rating at max.
I've been in Milton for 5+ years and have been eating here at least once or twice a month, usually for weekend breakfast or brunch. (It's close...)
I went in for dinner today with the kids and the food quality was very poor. Surprised, I told my waitress and the manager came to speak with me. I will not go into details, however the young manager did tell me this was the third complaint he had (with the salads) and that the last time they found a piece of plastic in with the salad. Really? Was that supposed to make me feel better, let alone rectify the issue? Basically, I gather what he was trying to tell me was sorry for your luck as it could have been much worse?
Not happy and many better places in Milton if you explore.
Not recommended.

Sangria was amazing. Asking for ice on the side is a must unless you want your pitcher full of it. I would not order the spinach dip or grilled fish sandwich again. Lacked flavour & authenticity. The waitress was informative & exceptionally nice. Hence the 3 stars !
