The price for the portions you get here are terrible. They charged $15 for 6 chicken wings and $9 for a tiny little salad that was something I could do a better job of for less at home. Top it off with an 18% gratuity already added to the bill for their large group requirement. They also do not allow the option of the full menu when in a large group, which only provides most of their more expensive options.
Would not eat here again.

Always a great place for dinner, and I love that they are family friendly! The food is amazing, and the prices are great, and the portions are great! Everything about this place is great, and it boasts a very comfortable, non-pretentious atmosphere. The staff is always friendly and accommodating, and we always look forward to returning.

Took almost 2 hours to get our COLD food on a dead Sunday night.
Looked like the microwaved some chicken and threw it on a taco, forgot salad dressing and took their sweet time to even bring the bill so we could pay. First and LAST time ever going - we would have been better off at Taco Bell and saved 18$ a plate

My girlfriend, her parents and grandparents, and myself stopped at Borealis for a late lunch on our way from Waterloo to Toronto after seeing quite a few vegan options online and were very happy with the experience.
We entered the restaurant and asked if we had a reservation. After looking around and seeing about 5 people in the whole space, I imagine that one wasn't particularly needed for lunch, but possibly for dinner. Even without a reservation we were seated quickly by the host. The server was very friendly and knowledgeable with the menu and on-tap beers. The ambiance of the restaurant was also very nice! We were seated in a side room overlooking a patio and the nature-inspired artwork and natural light on the decor was very comfortable.
I ordered the fish tacos and side salad to have something light before the drive and was extremely satisfied with the fresh ingredients. We split sweet potato fries, which were also cooked well. The service was quick and the server was almost too nice (like, strangely friendly). Being on the road for a long trip after, Borealis was certainly the highlight of any restaurants we stopped at. Unfortunately, they've set the bar for fish tacos, which no one has yet to beat!
Definitely recommend stopping in! I don't give 5 stars to just any restaurant :)

Went here for a birthday gathering and loved it.
The price was fair and the food was excellent.
The quality of service was second to none in Waterloo region.
Loved the atmosphere and can't say enough about the staff. When we arrived and When we left we were given an abundance of "hellos, and have a wonderful evening"
Again cannot say enough good things about the staff and the food.
