We visited this hotel as a stopover on our Rocky Mountaineer Scenic Railway tour and then later as tourists and visitors. The town of Kamloops is a well supported town with easily accessible amenities. The walk down to the river is stunning. Great tourist friendly town great Bar Restaurants all within a few blocks of the hotel.
Hotel room was clean and comfortable. Felt spacious enough with its open bar kitchen space. Staff friendly and professional. Excellent mention to the guy in the lobby who ran my wife and I and another recently engaged couple down to the platform as our organised Rocky Mountaineer bus driver left both couples standing in the street as he pulled away from the hotel. Thanks mate I think I tipped you but I'm embarrassed that I cant remember your name to give you proper credit. It was a great help and you were so friendly and reassuring about it all.

The lounge inside the hotel was incredibly understaffed with two wedding receptions happening at the same time. It took over thirty minutes to get a beer. As for the reception itself? It was great, nothing to complain about at all. Food and table service was top notch.

We attended a wedding at your hotel this last weekend.. We enjoyed your facilities very much. It was very clean, staff was helpful, especially the restaurant staff when we arrived Sunday morning with a large group. We had to take over the bar area, no room left in the restaurant. Breakfast was excellent.The only thing that I felt was lacking was an easy chair in the room so that I could sit and enjoy my book. I guess my joints and bones are getting too old to try to sit on a bed to do this. Need better back support. Thank you for a very enjoyable weekend. Esther Dowell

I had a great experience here when I was passing through for one night on my way to Vancouver. Was greeted by a very nice valet who helped me unload my bags and took them up to the room for me. Front desk staff were friendly and very helpful. The room was small but provided all of the required amenities. The pool area was awesome, nice pool and hot tub as well as a server going around taking drink orders. I am currently at another "hotel" in town while I'm passing through on my way back home and am totally regretting not going back to 540. If I am ever back in Kamloops I will definitely be coming back here. Thanks for a great experience!

Straightforward hotel right in the middle of things. Easy walk to Riverside Park. Across the street from the supermarket and drugstore. Tons of restaurants within an easy walk. Hotel itself is basic and gets the job done. Rooms are small but clean and cozy. Decent restaurant. Has a pool that we didn't use this trip. Attractive signage on the building. Easy parking.
