Dropped off after hours and charged a full extra day rental. I guess thats their policy - however I was not made aware of this at the time of rental even after I told them I'll have the car back in the evening of the following day and this was all fine! Miscommunication on the side of AVIS. I payed an extra $106!! Wish I would have kept the car then because I needed one the next day. They won't own their mistake.

Ordered online thru Costco travel, great deal excellent 2016 Jetta, was perfect, no issues, good customer service, especially upon returning, was 5 mins past closing and he was still there w no angry words or extra charges! Would do business again!

In my vast experience renting cars, this was the worst I have been treated. I got the Volkswagen Golf and filled the tank the night before returning the car. I preferred to return the car at night but I forgot to ask about returning after hours. In the morning the gas tank had gone down by itself and by the time I returned the car the next morning (I live only 2 km away), somehow the gas tank went down ⅛, and Avis called saying "you forgot to fill up the car". This is horrible customer service, to call up your client and accuse them of something they didn't do. It is not my fault Volkswagen has such horrible service, and doesn't even have an accurate gas tank. avis simply charged me 12$ more without even giving me an explanation.
