I got a Brazilian for the first time here the other day and was very unimpressed. The location of the room is terrible, when the lady opened the door I was making eye contact with the people getting pedicures! Although there was a towel covering me I still felt exposed. The lady was super nice but the wax they use isn’t great. They say it’s for sensitive areas but it comes off in patches and hurts 100x more then regular wax. It was 40$ but they said their prices are raising to 50$ and I’d rather go anywhere else and recommend you go elsewhere as well. Rinaldis has been by far the best.

Horrible experience, I have visited for massages in the past which I found good. This time I was visiting after a car accident with a requisition for massage from my doctor. My insurance company had directed me to choose where I would like to go, pay out of pocket and I would be reimbursed after submitting my receipts. I booked my appt at skinsational and went in 10 minutes early to show them my requisition which stated I was in a MVA. The receptionist told me they didn't need it before she even looked at it. When I entered the room with my RMT and told her why I was there she immediately told me she doesn't "do" vehicle accidents because she doesnt interact with insurance companies or direct bill. After explaining to her I didn't need her to direct bill or perform any assessments, just relieve some muscle tension (I have already seen a doctor and don't need physio). I ended up leaving the office extremely disappointed as I do not see why she could not do my massage. I will not be returning and will be telling people of my bad experience.

My mom swears by this place - she goings at least once a year to a pedi/mani. I went for my first time a few days ago and it was great - spa is clean, staff are friendly, and my pedicure was perfect! The spa is on the smaller size but provides a more intimate feel - you aren't stacked on top of other patrons and there is adequate privacy between seating areas.
I can't vouch for hygiene related to waxing but when it comes to nail care Skinsational was better than most nail salons in Barrie (I.e. Galaxy, 4 seasons , Elite nails) - they didn't re-use any equipment and you can even buy your own nail colour/files and keep them at the spa for next time and/or take home with you. This guarantees no one has shared anything you've used and you get that colour you love again.
I definitely will be going back and would reccomend to others! The gift certifies go great as gifts as well!
