In Bulgaria we call those kind of restaurants "mehana". I hated this one for so many reasons... First you should know that occasionally someone will appear on your table and ask you to buy some garbage. Like absolutely useless crap. This is a common form of begging in Bulgaria and no (self) respected place will allow it. Second the live music. A guy and a girl duo singing some compilation of Bulgarian pop music (called "estrada" here) and worldwide popular songs. Terrible choice... Combining Tonika's "Здравей, как си приятелю" and Sinatra's "New York, New York" not just in compilation but in one medley song?! ... And there is no stage for the singers. They just wonder around the tables. Also the place is small and not fit for dancing but apparently this is what happens if there is a "office party". And because of the small space the music is at crescendo level. You will not be able to hear the person next to you. Remember that this is not a disco club or "chalgoteka" but a restaurant! You are here to eat and enjoy the company and not to interact with the singers or beggars. Lastly the fancy plate names are very misleading if you don't speak Bulgarian. My advice is to take a look at "Hadjidraganov's Houses" place in the center of the city and stay away from this luxurious ghetto. The place is far more authentic and enjoyable.
