Great chef and great service. A memorable meal and reasonable wine prices.

“really Disappointing”
DECOR
very nice, stylish, clean
FOOD
Not good enough for a "Brasserie", portions are on the smaller side (I agree with the previous comments).
"Nothing special", which is disappointing since they add "Vlaamse Stoverij / Flemish Beef Stew" on their outside menu to draw in tourists in. Being local, I know how "Flemish Beef Stew" could and should taste and I'm really disappointed knowing that this is all what tourists will get. Too bad.
SERVICE
is terrible, not at all professional and certainly not courteous.
They really want to make you sit next to the windows, so that the place looks more crowded to passers-by, but we didn't sit very comfortable. We had to ask for mayonnaise 4 times.
MANAGEMENT
is lacking here. Best to wait until they've survived the amateur stage.

As other reviewer pointed out, somehow this place gets lots of recommendations from locals, in particular hotels. However, it is not worthy at all, neither the food or the rude staff.
Just to say that the restaurant was half empty and we had to wait for 1 hour and a half for the dishes whilst the waiter made every attempt not to go near our table. Ramdom tables got the same treatment whilst others were quickly served.
The food is really below average and really expensive for the quality. The steak tartar was completely tasteless, the tomatoes (included the scampi stuffed) were cold as just taken from the refrigerator (after one hour and a half!!!) so no taste either, the garlic scampi were really small in size and 4 euros each scampi. And last but not least, they don't sell mineral water but their tap water "refined" (by them) and with the price of a wine.
In short, don't do the same error that we did and do not trust your hotel receptionist, no matter how nice he/she seems.

Quite nice, but the Waldorf salad came without walnuts.

The food was out of this world. We had a lovely meal Christmas Eve, they were very busy but it the atmosphere was so nice. The prawns were the tastiest, sweetest prawns I have ever tasted. The venison was perfectly cooked - one of the best meals I've ever had! Can't recommend the food enough.
