Take care! very unfriendly waiters and low level food, do not waste time and money - sadly we did!

The food was excellent, but the service wasn't great. However, that could've been because it was one of the first beautiful days that Vienna had had in a long time, the sun was out, and everyone was taking the kids to the zoo. You really can't beat the atmosphere, and it's a lot less crowded then if you try to eat at the Gloriette Café at the pavilion above the palace.

Right next to the Schönbrunner Tiergarten is this beautiful restaurant located. The prices are moderate up to expensive, but the food is good. Some of the meals are served in nice dishes.

It's a hidden place that's good just because the restaurants in the zoo are very busy. Here everything is more relaxed that in the zoo and the queues shorter. On the other side you need to take the train or walk all the way up to here before you can enjoy the lunch. The burgers are fair enough but don't expect an extraordinary lunch.
