I’ve eaten at Friars cafe maybe 3/4 times and each time has been spectacular! Great food and atmosphere, will definitely return.

Best part about the place is they support breastfeeding. Part retro, part historical this place is warm and friendly.
My meal was lovely but my partners meal was clearly cooked hours before and kept under heat. By the time we arrived it was extremely dry. Coffee was good but if you're a Melburnian with high coffee standards, it might be best to go elsewhere.

They support the app Hey You so you can order in advance and have a few outdoor tables.

I quite like this place. It's expensive to eat in but the food is good and they make consistently good coffee which is rare. They have some nice and friendly staff. They make some pretty great scones and muffins too and these are priced pretty good.
