The Byrneleigh is fantastic.

A boutique pub tucked away on Hampden Road in Nedlands where the staff are a welcoming and attentive team obviously lead by professional and well-equipped management. The meals are always cooked to perfection and presented eloquently, and the cocktails are to die for!

My first visit was Saturday night with my boyfriend which was a balmy evening in Perth so we decided to sit in the garden outside to have a quiet dinner under the stars. It was lovely to see the outside tables surrounded by fairy lights tucked in to the perimeter fence, a touch that added beautifully to the atmosphere of the establishment and made the outdoor garden area even more inviting.

I started with a cocktail served in a large jam jar (as our waitress had recommended.. and it was as amazing as promised) while my BF had a mango beer and was equally impressed with the beer selection (that was chilled to perfection) as I was with my jam jar cocktail.

We ordered steaks for our main, mine served on a bed of creamy mash with red wine jus while BF had his in a sandwich served with hand cut chips, and both were simply mouth watering.

I went back last Thursday with a girl friend to try the $20 chicken parmigiana special (includes a glass of house wine/beer/champagne) and we agreed it was amazing.

BF and I have vowed to make The Byrneleigh our new local (living locally as I do) and we can't wait to try the rest of the menu. I might be just a little keen to sample the rest of that cocktail list too!

Perfect meals, perfect cocktails and perfectly chilled beer to boot. If you haven't tried this place already I highly recommend you do.
