Went here as a support for my neighbor and her chicken Bella. The care was excellent, but the prices were eyewatering.

Very professional staff. Very helpful over the phone advice above and beyond what I was expecting. When our dog was admitted and we were kept updated throughout the process. They were reasonable on pickup time not charging us extra.

They get 1 star because they were open on a Sunday. The order in which people were dealt with seemed arbitrary. If triarge was being used it was not applied properly. We were not permitted to stay with our pet and when all was said and done didn't do anything to help. Complete waste of time and money. The cat ended up with our local vet on Monday who has taken some actual steps to help the cat get well. Not happy and won't be going back. They need to get off their high horse...

Fantastic staff, very communicative and understanding.
Great on the phone and will talk you through and actions you need to take before leaving for the centre and on the way.
Would highly recommend, we tell people who are looking after her to head straight there if there is an emergency.

I am new to Melbourne and needing a vet in an emergency situation was reassured by the reviews posted here.
After my experience I would not recommended this practice and suggest you take your animal elsewhere. Whilst there are some good vets/vet nurses and the practice does seem to excel at surgery the overall standard of care given to my two year old dog (whose problem was not surgical) was very poor. He was allowed to linger in the 'ICU' over four days whilst I was constantly assured that he was stable/improving and no further intervention was needed. Finally they admitted that further assessment was needed but it would have to wait til the next day (Monday). Whilst I asked to be called overnight if there was any deterioration I simply received a call the next day to say he was dying. There was no continuity of care and they have many rules and regulations which prevent you from spending time with your animal. Overall I would suggest you go to Lort Smith Animal hospital in an emergency.
