I called today to enquire about a misplaced (after moving) voucher for a massage, excited to use it before my birthday. I was informed that they expire after 6 months, a practice that I thought was pretty much dead due to it being ludicrous that something that was paid for in advance couldn't be used after a certain time period, given that they have had the payment up front. 12 months I understand, less than that is quite harsh. There was no offer of another option, which is poor customer service.
