Had the chicken burger and chips for lunch, the burger was delicious, and the chips were cooked to perfection, and the meal was a very reasonable price. The owner is very friendly and was happy to chat when the tavern was quiet

The Moroccan salad was great roast of the day (lamb) was nicely cooked generous portion just needed to be served on warm plates. I had the battered scallops again nice portion just needed to be served on warm plates. The restaurant needs better lighting and maybe curtains because I found it a bit cold sitting near the window side of the room. All said you guys are doing well keep working on the atmosphere more choices on the menu a few more meals for vego's 👍

EDIT: now under new ownership by an avid brewer - hope he starts making some frothies. Bumped to 4 stars till I re-try them and re-review :)
As can be read in other reviews here, this place is sadly very much hit or miss. I've had some great meals here and some very ordinary - mouldy garlic bread anyone? That was a while ago now. The mountain schnitzel challenge sure isn't the best cut of meat, but it is good value if you're mega hungry. Over-all reasonable value large meals. The pubs a bit dated but not a bad relaxed atmosphere. Piza's were good, not sure if they still do them.

Friendly professional and helpful manager. Such a great location, can only see this place getting more popular with the enthusiasm management has for the Tavern. Lamb shanks were delicious too :)
