WHAT A HIDDEN GEM. At first glance you may think this pub is an old mans drinking hole. It's not, do not let this deceive you. The atmosphere is cosy and the food was outstanding. We will 100% return. I must admit to drinking far too much in the pub, but we had a good time so thumbs up! They really do need to market this place better as it should be packed out.
Oh, and the food is great - just thought I would reiterate this.

Lovely traditional pub but slightly the victim of its own success. Can be crowded and hard to find a table, especially after work. Recommend making a reservation.

Firstly the bar area itself stank like it hadn’t been cleaned in months. The surface of the bar was drenched in old beer. There were several fruit flies on the bottles and on the glasses. Adding to insult I was personally treated horribly by a guy who was serving on the bar, he looked to be in his 40’s/50’s. He didn’t know how to serve pints properly from what I saw as I was waiting to be served.
The worst thing that happened was that I was refused the drink I ordered for asking for a fresh glass, instead of one of the fruit flies landing on the glass I was going to be served. I asked for a reason why I couldn’t have a fresh glass for the drink I ordered and the guy’s reply was “I don’t feel like serving you”. Absolutely disgusting place. I have not seen anything like it in my 3 years of bar experience. Do not go to Town Hall Tavern.

Had the Burger. The bun was so hard I couldn't cut it, it was rock hard. The Burger was dry and fell apart but the onion rings were out of this world and the chips were amazing, crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside.
The wait for food was about 40 mins and a double vodka and mixer is over £9.

Me and my partner stopped in by chance due to the weather on Friday. I'm so glad we did. The staff were amazing and the food, oh my goodness food. I can't recommend it enough. We ended up going back on the Saturday and that was just as good. Next time we are in Leeds we will make a point of visiting.
