BEST WESTERN Glasgow City Hotel

Stayed for one night for a gig at the hydro. Reasonably priced, good central location despite the building site at our window. Female staff member we dealt with was very helpful. The bed however was one of the least comfortable I've ever slept on, and how you get pillows that hard I don't know. Didn't have the breakfast.

The location is just off the main road near nice and sleazy, which is a really cool bar with really cheap drinks. Also close to lots of good fast food places. A little hard to find. Rooms are massive- possibly the biggest room I've ever stayed in, and the beds are really comfy. Staff are also very nice. Overall, good hotel.

Clean but basic hotel. Backing onto derilict building (not hotels fault). Staff friendly but probably a bit overpriced for what it is.

I stayed at BW in Glasgow. It looks really dumpy on the outside but is deceiving. It is old but very homey. There is NO LIFT and the doorman carried my bag upstairs very cheerfully. I requested a single room and it was QUITE small. The bed was so hard I felt like I slept on a slab! Breakfast was good! OK for a few nights.

Very nice staff. Good breakfast (continental and hot (eggs, bacon, beans,etc)). Needed to print a document and staff was more than helpful to print it out for me. Clean room and good shower. Really recommended.
